Job Description :
We are seeking a highly skilled Physician Assistant to join our dermatology practice. As a Physician Assistant specializing in dermatology, you will work closely with our team of dermatologists to provide exceptional patient care and support.
Responsibilities :
- Conduct patient assessments, including medical history review and skin examinations.
- Perform various dermatological procedures, such as biopsies, excisions, and cryotherapy, under the supervision of dermatologists.
- Diagnose and treat common dermatological conditions, including acne, eczema, psoriasis, and skin cancers.
- Prescribe medications, topical treatments, and skincare regimens as appropriate.
- Educate patients on skincare practices, disease prevention, and treatment options.
- Assist dermatologists in surgical procedures and cosmetic dermatology treatments.
- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records using electronic medical records (EMR) systems.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including nurses, medical assistants, and administrative staff, to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Stay current with advances in dermatological treatments, procedures, and technologies through continuing education and professional development.
- Uphold high standards of patient confidentiality, professionalism, and ethical conduct at all times.
Qualifications :
- Bachelor's degree, Master's preferred.
- Current certification as a Physician Assistant (PA) from an accredited institution.
- Texas State licensured
- Minimum of 1 years of experience working in dermatology or a related field preferred.
- Proficiency in performing dermatological procedures and treatments.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team.
