Assistant Warehouse Manager

Hours for this role : Monday - Friday, 6 : 00 pm - 3 : 00 pm​

Fulfills a critical leadership role in support of the Warehouse, Fabrication, and Shipping / Transportation Departments. The AWM role is highly visible and therefore is critical to set the standard and model the expectation for associate behavior.

Duties and Responsibilities : The following duties are typical of those performed by employees in this job title; however, employees may perform other related duties, and not all duties listed are necessarily performed by each employee in the job title :

• Train new hires
• Retrain current associates, coach and develop
• Develop and deliver personal improvement plans for team members, as necessary
• Lead projects in new warehouse technology
• Cover for Supervisors, as necessary
• Cover for scheduled absences of the Warehouse Manager
• Identify quality, housekeeping and safety concerns and report them to the Warehouse Manager
• Ensure machines are operating properly and safely
• Complying with and upholding all EMS policies
• Communicate and collaborate with Supervisors to identify areas needing improvement
• Evaluate processes and provide recommendations for improvement
• Employ a positive attitude and serve as a role model for employees
• Comply with Company and OSHA policies; participate in safety and accident preventative meetings
• Wear safety equipment at all times and MUST wear hardhat at all times during work hours in the warehouse
• Assist with scheduling and assignments for team members
• Drive productivity in all aspects of the operation
• Must be flexible with schedule and hours
