Job Purpose : Process new and damaged cylindrical components to meet customer specifications and tolerances.

Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities
- Operate manual OD and / or ID grinding machines with precision and consistency.
- Use necessary hand tools and precision instruments to grind parts to required specifications.
- Must specify which machines you have hands-on experience with (e.g., Cincinnati, Landis, Norton, Okamoto, Toyoda, etc.).
- Read and interpret micrometers, blueprints, and work order travelers.
- Complete all written documentation, entries, and signatures as required by the work order traveler.
- Immediately report any part or process deviations to the supervisor or quality inspector.
- Perform basic liquid penetrant examinations as required by the work order traveler.
- Safely operate jib and overhead cranes.
- Perform daily routine maintenance on assigned equipment (check lubricant levels, clean, inspect, etc.).
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workstation at all times.
- Participate in on-the-job training and demonstrate continuous improvement toward independent operation.
- Must be able to read and understand English for documentation and drawings.
- Experienced Operators : Minimum one (1) year of grinding or related machining experience.
- Trainee Operators : Must have a high school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Trainees will receive at least four (4) weeks of supervised instruction.
- Instructor will determine readiness for independent machine operation.
- Must possess or be willing to obtain required personal hand tools.
- Company offers a payroll-deduction tool purchase program until the balance is satisfied.
Compensation & Pay Scale
Hourly pay is based on skill level and performance evaluation.

Training & Evaluation
Evaluation method : On-the-job observation over a minimum of four (4) weeks.
Continuous performance monitoring to ensure compliance with production standards and safety.
