THE ROLE
Insomniac Events is seeking a Publishing Coordinator to join the Insomniac Music Group team in Los Angeles.
Responsibilities
- Handle song registrations, metadata entry, and catalog maintenance
- Coordinate license requests and royalty tracking for all clients
- Support publishing A&R : session scheduling, maintaining pitch logs, cataloging demos
- Liaise with label team goals to align on artist priorities and pitching opportunities for internal releases
- Support sync and licensing efforts : development, pitching, and tracking
- Oversee studio calendar for all label and publishing priorities
- Communicate across departments to highlight key updates, placements, and opportunities
- Coordinate with pub & sync team on various initiatives
- Other responsibilities and projects as provided by the Operations Manager and Director.
Qualifications
2+ years of experience in music publishing, label operations, or a related entertainment industry rolePassion for Electronic and Dance music; familiarity with key artists, subgenres, and trendsExceptionally detail-oriented, with a strong ability to manage assets and timelines across multiple creative projectsExperience managing metadata, registrations, and catalog systems with consistency and accuracyStrong verbal and written communication skills across digital platforms and in-person settingsUnderstanding of music licensing, royalties, copyright, and publishing workflowsFamiliarity with industry tools like DISCO, Music Reports, and PRO portals (ASCAP, BMI, SESAC)Comfortable using project management platforms (e.g. Notion, Airtable, Basecamp, Trello, Slack, AsanaProficiency in Google Workspace and Microsoft Office SuiteTech-savvy with working knowledge of CMS systems, content platforms, and digital distributionSelf-starter with a collaborative mindset and a solutions-first approachAbility to maintain clear documentation and reporting for internal stakeholders and partnersExperience supporting or coordinating creative sessions (e.g., writing camps, studio bookings)Bonus : Interest in or experience with sync pitching, music supervision, or A&R strategyWORK ENVIRONMENT
