Seeking to hire casual call Patient Care Tech to support Ophthalmology Department. There is potential to work to become a certified ophthalmology technician!

Position Summary :

The Patient Care Tech Clinic is imperative to increasing efficiency, productivity, as well as patient and team satisfaction. Performs uncomplicated tasks under direct supervision of a work area nurse, including but not limited to patient care; transporting patients within the facility; ordering medical supplies and medications; assisting nurses with scheduling appointments, processing referrals, and pre-visit planning.

Minimum Qualifications :

• High School Diploma or Equivalent
• American Heart Association BLS
• Preferred : Courses in Medical Terminology
• Preferred : Nurse Aid training or non-certified graduate of medical assistant program
• Preferred : EMT, CNA, or health care related certifications
• Preferred : Experience working with protected health information and electronic health records
• Preferred : Two years of medical / clinical office experience
