Project Engineer - Commercial Construction Project Engineer - DSA / Commercial Builds

Position Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Project Engineer specializing in DSA and commercial construction projects in Long Beach. The ideal candidate will support project management teams by overseeing the planning, design, and execution of construction projects while ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the preparation of project budgets and schedules
  • Coordinate with architects, engineers, and contractors to ensure project specifications are met
  • Conduct site inspections to monitor progress and ensure adherence to safety protocols
  • Prepare and maintain project documentation, including reports and change orders
  • Assist in the resolution of project-related issues and conflicts
  • Ensure compliance with OSHPD regulations and DSA guidelines during construction phases
  • Support the Project Manager in maintaining project timelines and deliverables

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field
  • Proven experience in commercial construction project engineering
  • Familiarity with OSHPD and DSA requirements
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
  • Proficient in project management software and Microsoft Office Suite
