Overview We are seeking a forward-thinking Chief Technology Officer (CTO) to lead the technology vision and execution for a startup at the intersection of artificial intelligence and geopolitical analysis. The CTO will architect our AI infrastructure, build and manage a world-class technical team, and ensure our products deliver timely, trustworthy geopolitical insights to governments, enterprises, and institutions.
Responsibilities Develop and lead the end-to-end technical strategy, with a focus on NLP and appropriate input models, real-time data pipelines, and predictive modeling for geopolitical events.
Architect scalable systems to ingest, structure, and analyze massive streams of open-source intelligence, media, and structured datasets.
Lead a cross-functional engineering and data science team to deploy production-ready AI models and decision-support tools.
Ensure that all AI models uphold standards for accuracy, explainability, and ethical use—especially when interpreting sensitive global developments.
Collaborate with founders, domain experts, and analysts to align technology with customer needs in relevant sectors.
Job Requirements Mandatory qualifications : 10+ years of experience in software engineering, data science, or AI product leadership.
Proven experience with machine learning, and relevant analytical technologies.
Deep understanding of global data sources, misinformation risks, and multilingual AI challenges.
Strong experience building and scaling AI / ML systems in cloud environments (AWS, GCP, Azure).
Effective communicator who can interface with non-technical stakeholders, including government and policy professionals.
Preferred Qualifications Background in intelligence, international relations, or defense tech.
Familiarity with real-time data pipelines and threat detection systems.
Experience working in high-stakes, high-trust sectors such as national security or enterprise risk.
