2025-26 Middle School Assistant Boys Track Coach

Lewis Central Community School District is looking for a Middle School AssistantBoys Track Coach for the2025-26 season. Season run time is approximately time is required outside of regular season for program and player development.

Applicant must have a coaching authorization through the Iowa Board of Educational Examiners before being considered for this position .

Job Summary :

Under the general direction of the Athletic Director and Head Coachan Assistant Coachsprimary responsibilitiesis to lead and develop student-athletes to achieve both individual and team success.

Qualifications :

• Coaching authorization issued by the Iowa Board of Educational Examiners (BOEE) is mandatory.
• Previous coaching experience as a track coach at the middle school or high school level is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of the rules and strategies related to the specific sport.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Commitment to the overall well-being and development of student-athletes.
• Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and parents.
• Demonstrated leadership and organizational skills.
• Current CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
• Understanding of and adherence to all relevant safety guidelines.

Essential Functions

Travel Requirements :

A coach is required to travel with team to all related events and in some instance operate a school vehicle to transport student-athletes to events.
