Must have pleted Behavior Specialist / ABA Therapy training and have a minimum 1+ years Behavior Therapy experience. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A school district in Corrales, NM, is seeking Behavior Specialists for a contract position lasting the entire school year (NSY). There are at least two openings available. Candidates must hold licensure through the New Mexico Public Education Department (PED) or be eligible to obtain it.

This role is ideal for professionals with a background as a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA), Special Education Teacher with behavioral expertise, or Social Worker experienced in schools. The selected individuals will be assigned to multiple K-12 schools, providing critical support to special education classroom teams working with groups of students in crisis.

Key Responsibilities :

• Conduct Functional Behavior Assessments (FBAs) and develop Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs)
• Support and collaborate with special education teams addressing student behavior needs
• Provide direct behavioral interventions and consultative services across multiple school settings
• Assist in managing and de-escalating crisis situations among special education students
