Atlanta, Georgia, or Minneapolis, MN.
The SQL Server Database Developer / Administrator will provide support for production applications and architecting new database solutions.
This administrator will work independently and with a team to perform system / database administrator, design, and upgrades for a broad range of complex systems.

General Responsibilities :
Develop new solutions using SQL Server technologies on-premises, utilizing cloud components, or a hybrid of both.
Work closely and collaborate with members of the front-end development team to provide database development and support.
Provide guidance and support to Application Developers as needed.
Architect the database structure according to client requirements.
Create new workflow processes to facilitate the flow of data by means of data ingestion and ETL.
Assumed lead role with schema design, code review, SQL query tuning.
Upgrade and improve application schema and data upgrades.
Proactively and regularly make recommendations for system improvements.
Manage database backups to local and cloud repositories.
Execute daily health checks across all SQL instances
Manage the maintenance of the databases in order to keep them in a consistent, healthy state.
Manage the security to access the SQL instances and the databases therein.
Address any performance issues that may arise.
Lead the installation and configuration of SQL Server on-premises instances, Azure SQL Databases and SQL Managed Instances.
Required Qualifications :
Bachelor's degree in appropriate field of study or : equivalent work experience.
2-5 years' experience in a similar position.
Preferred : Qualifications :
Experience with Databrick's or Snowflake will be an advantage.
