As a Master Teacher , your salary will be comparable to a public school teacher, and you will implement Head Start standards for children, age 0-3, and their families, ensuring that services are individualized and meet the social, emotional, developmental, and intellectual needs of your students.

As a Master Teacher you will complete screenings and evaluations, supervise and ensure the safety and wellbeing of children, maintain student portfolios, provide leadership and guidance to classroom staff in the development, writing, and implementation of daily lesson plans, develop relationships with parents and families, all while being an active collaborator on the Early Head Start education team.

Candidate qualifications :

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field with a minimum of 24 hours of Early Childhood Education classes required.
  • Gateways Early Childhood Education Level 5 and Infant Toddler Credential Level 5 credentials required.
  • A minimum of two years of experience in a relevant early childhood group setting required. Successful participation in the Teach for America Program may satisfy this requirement.

Candidates without the required degree / credentials may be considered with an approved educational plan)

Job details :

  • Compensation : Range starts at $54,500, offers are commensurate with experience.
  • Benefits : Medical / dental / vision insurance, three scheduled weeks of paid time off per year (Spring, Summer, Winter), and additional flexible paid leave that accrues based on tenure;

11 paid holidays, supplemental insurance options, 401(k) with match (more benefits details here).

  • Location : Classroom setting (229 Lake Marian Rd.)
  • Schedule : Full-time, salaried; center is open Mon-Fri, 7 : 30am-5 : 30pm; assigned shifts will vary.
  • Student Loan Forgiveness : Brightpoint is an approved agency for Public Service Loan Forgiveness (PSLF).
