Commercial Credit Manager
The Commercial Credit Manager (CCM) is primarily responsible for underwriting moderate to highly complex commercial loan requests and assigning loan requests to team members. The CCM will stay involved in a mentoring capacity to ensure that loan requests are properly assessing risk and assessing ways to mitigate these risks. Manage the pipeline of new loan requests and annual reviews. Underwrite and create the credit memo for moderate to highly complex commercial loan requests. Interact and engage with the Commercial Banking Team during the underwriting process. Have a strong understanding of the nCino system including assigning deals to analysts and familiarity with Product Packages, Review Records and Households. Responsible for daily supervision / oversight and ongoing developmental objectives of the Credit Analysis Team including : Assigning loan requests and monitoring the work of the analyst team ensuring timely review. Train and motivate employees ensuring employee engagement and continuous improvement. Monitor and evaluate performance of Credit Analysts, holding employees accountable for goals and objectives. Review the underwriting credit memo prepared by the credit analysts to ensure adherence to all policy guidelines and to ensure total data / document integrity. Develop and implement new procedures and improvements to the credit process. Timely completion of annual performance reviews for the credit analysts. Prepare the credit package for submission to weekly Loan Committees. Ensure Credit Analysts meet expectations in performance, productivity and quality standards. Keep up to date with compliance regulations and economic conditions as they relate to commercial loans. Manage the annual vendor review process. Prepare memos for monthly Board of Directors meetings. Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or related field and a minimum of 3 years of commercial credit management experience, or the equivalent combination of education and experience. Strong credit acumen. Must be fluent in analyzing corporate financial statements and tax returns; personal financial statements and tax returns; internally prepared financial information; and other financial information as provided.
