ICU Nurse Job Details Location : Smyrna, TN 37167 (Greater Nashville area) Unit : Intensive Care Unit (ICU), 16 beds Assignment Length : 13-week travel nursing contract Start Date : January 12, 2026 End Date : April 13, 2026 Shift : 7 : 00 PM – 7 : 00 AM (12-hour night shifts) Hours per Week : 36 Schedule : Every other weekend required Employment Type : Travel RN, On-Site Dress Code : Charcoal gray scrubs Estimated Weekly Salary Range : $1470 - $1570 ICU RN Qualifications Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (Tennessee or compact state) BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certifications Minimum 1 year of recent ICU nursing experience Strong teamwork, positive attitude, and critical thinking skills Experience with ventilator management, sedation, and medication titration preferred Familiarity with Meditech electronic health record system is a plus ICU Nurse Responsibilities Provide patient-centered care to critically ill adults in a 2 : 1 patient ratio ICU setting Monitor and manage patients using GE monitors, Nova glucometers, Pyxis medication dispensing, and Drager ventilators Perform advanced ICU procedures : tracheostomy placement, bronchoscopy, and cardioversion Collaborate with a multidisciplinary healthcare team including techs and unit secretaries Educate patients and families, complete communication boards, and participate in medication teaching Float in rotation with full-time staff and other travel nurses as needed Uphold Trauma III hospital standards and enhance patient experience using AIDET principles Apply now to join our healthcare team in Smyrna, Tennessee, and take the next step in your ICU nursing career!
