  • Work 12-hour shifts with various start times : 7 : 00 AM-7 : 00 PM, 9 : 00 AM-9 : 00 PM, 11 : 00 AM-11 : 00 PM, 3 : 00 PM-3 : 00 AM, 7 : 00 PM-7 : 00 AM

    • \n

  • Leadership will create schedule based on department needs

    • \n

  • Weekend and holiday requirements vary based on department needs

    • \n

  • Must float to OBS unit and Freestanding Creighton ER at least once a week

    • \n

  • Work in fast-paced, high acuity environment

    • \n

  • Required certifications : BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS (NRP preferred)

    • \n

  • Driver's license required at submittal

    • \n

  • Must pass 90% on open book skills exam during orientation or contract will be terminated

    • \n

  • Artificial nails prohibited - refusal to remove will lead to contract termination

    • \n

  • 1 week of onboarding, 2 shifts at Bergan, 1 shift at UC for orientation

    • \n

  • Patient ratios : 1 : 4 in zones, 1 : 6 in Fast Track, 1 : 5 in OBS, 1 : 1 ICU / Trauma

    • \n

  • Must read and interpret own EKG strips

    • \n

  • Work with common trauma diagnoses including sepsis, chest pain, SOB, strokes-TPA

    • \n

  • Experience with all common drips seen in Level I trauma ERs

    • \n

  • Use EPIC charting system

    • \n

  • Must live outside 50-mile radius and cannot be employed with CommonSpirit facilities

    • \n

  • RTO needed upfront (7 or less days per 13 week contract)

    This healthcare facility operates as a Level I Trauma Center with pediatric certification by the state and serves as a Comprehensive Stroke Center. The emergency department features 20 beds, 5 trauma bays, 10 observation beds, plus hallway beds, along with a 6-bed Fast Track unit and 3 triage beds. The facility maintains 24 / 7 in-house security housed within the ER and is staffed with both ED physicians and mid-levels. The department provides comprehensive emergency services with charge nurses on each shift and support staff including nurse aids, EMTs, paramedics, and patient sitters.
