Summary :
A Host is the first impression the guest receives when entering the restaurant. Friendliness, excellent service, and high standards are a must for this position.
The Host also greet Guests upon arrival, inform Guests of their wait time, monitor a waiting list, take to go orders, show Guests to their table and bid Guests farewell as they leave.
Primary Responsibilities :
Greet incoming and departing Guests warmly with a genuine smile and eye contact; escort them to assigned dining area; present menus;
announce waiter's name
- Providing guests with menus and answering any initial questions.
- Seating guests at a tables or in waiting areas.
- Assigning guests to tables while keeping table rotation in mind.
- Answering phone calls, taking reservations, answer questions, and taking to go orders.
- A knowledge of the menu and beers.
- Helping out with other positions in the restaurant as needed.
- Help stocking retail area and beers.
- Providing great customer service.
- Light brewery admin
- Distributing mail and communication with other departments.
Requirements
Skills and Abilities :
- Ability to provide top notch customer service in a fast-paced environment.
- A positive attitude and ability to work well under pressure.
- Able to handle money accurately and operate point of sales system.
- Able to articulate clear greetings and farewells to Guests, as well as being able to understand requests for assistance
- Must be upbeat, outgoing and positive
- Ability to work positively in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work effectively within a team
- Ability to effectively communicate on the telephone.
- Physical Demands :
- Must be able to walk and stand during entire shift
- Must be able to reach, bend, stoop and wipe

Experience :
Restaurant experience a plus.
Education :
High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
