Medical Billing Specialist

A company is looking for a Medical Billing Specialist - Accounts Receivable (WFH).

Key Responsibilities

Post medical charges, payments, and journal entries to patient accounts accurately and timely

Work with insurance companies, healthcare providers, and patients to process and pay claims

Prepare, review, and transmit claims using billing software, and follow up on unpaid claims

Required Qualifications

Experience in medical billing and accounts receivable

Knowledge of insurance guidelines, including HMO / PPO, Medicare, and state Medicaid

Ability to handle protected health information in compliance with HIPAA

Familiarity with eligibility verification and precertification processes

Understanding of denial management and credentialing is a plus
