Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) Outpatient PRN
NovaCare Rehabilitation is seeking licensed PRN Physical Therapist Assistants to support our outpatient orthopedic clinics across Frederick County, Maryland. This flexible opportunity is ideal for PTAs with outpatient experience who value work-life balance. We'll align your availability with our coverage needs to create a schedule that works for you. We operate four outpatient centers in Frederick County, including Urbana (Ijamsville), Frederick, and Middletown, with nearby locations in Gaithersburg, Olney, and beyond. Our clinicians serve a diverse patient population, from teens to geriatrics, and offer a wide range of services, including general orthopedics, sports medicine, industrial rehab (POETS, FCEs), aquatic therapy, oncology rehab, and concussion management. Center hours begin as early as 6 : 00 AM, with the last patient scheduled at 7 : 30 PM. PRN coverage may include weekday evenings. We are closed on weekends.

Responsibilities include being responsible for patient care under the direction and supervision of a licensed physical therapist as mandated by State Practice Act, implementing, with minimal supervision, high quality physical therapy services for patients, caregivers and facilities in accordance with the principals and practices of physical therapy and with Select Medical policies and procedures, and maintaining positive level of interaction with centers and patients, and enhancing and expanding client relations with centers and their staff.
Qualifications include being a college graduate of an accredited physical therapist assistant program, having passed a national examination for PTAs certified by the CAPTE, holding a valid state physical therapist assistant (PTA) license (or license in process), and having CPR certification.
