Job description

Chief Operating Officer

Ascension Living PACE is looking to hire a Chief Operating Officer to join our team! This is a fully remote position, with regular travel required to engage with PACE sites, teams, and communities across Ascension.

The Program of All-Inclusive Care for the Elderly is a model of care centered around the belief that the well-being of seniors with chronic care needs, and their families, are better served in their own communities whenever possible.

The Chief Operating Officer (COO) will provide strategic and operational leadership for Ascension PACE, ensuring that every participant receives high-quality, person-centered, and integrated care that reflects the dignity and compassion central to Ascension's mission. Reporting to the Vice President / Senior Vice President of Post-Acute Services, the COO will oversee all aspects of PACE operations championing excellence in care delivery, regulatory compliance, operational efficiency, and long-term sustainability. This leader will work collaboratively across Ascension's ministries to strengthen the bridge between healthcare and aging services, expanding access to this vital model of community-based care.

The new COO will :

  • Lead with mission and purpose, ensuring that PACE programs embody Ascension's commitment to serve those most in need through holistic, faith-driven care.
  • Advance quality, performance improvement, and innovation, leveraging data, technology, and best practices to enhance participant outcomes and operational consistency.
  • Drive growth and access, supporting the expansion of PACE sites and census to reach more seniors and families seeking dignified alternatives to institutional care.
  • Develop, mentor, and empower teams, cultivating a culture of compassion, accountability, and continuous learning.
  • Foster collaboration across disciplines, aligning post-acute, population health, and community care services to create a seamless continuum for participants.

Education :

  • Bachelor's degree with 10 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required, with 5 of those years being in leadership / management.
  • Additional Preferences :

  • Master's degree preferred.
