Med / Surg Tele RN Job Details – Lynchburg, VA

Location : Lynchburg, VA 24503 (Virginia healthcare jobs)

Facility Type : Teaching hospital – Med / Surg Intermediate (Step Down) Unit

Assignment Length : 13 weeks (Start : 12 / 1 / 2025 – End : 2 / 28 / 2026)

Shift : 12-hour night shifts

Hours per Week : 36

Estimated Weekly Pay : $1,780–$1,910

Employment Type : Travel RN / Travel Nursing

Registered Nurse Qualifications

Active Virginia or Compact Registered Nurse (RN) License required at time of application

Minimum 2 years of recent Med / Surg Telemetry nursing experience

Prior travel nursing experience required

BLS certification required; ACLS certification preferred

Current NIH Stroke Scale certification

Experience with Cerner EMR preferred

Proficient in IV starts, drip and infusion management, and patient transport

All requested time off must be submitted with your application

Med / Surg Tele RN Responsibilities

Deliver high-quality patient care in a Med / Surg Step Down unit

Float to other hospital units or nearby campuses as needed (travel nurses float first)

Initiate and manage IVs, drips, and infusions

Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams, including students and new hires

Promote a culture of learning and teamwork in a teaching hospital setting

Ensure accurate documentation using Cerner EMR

Maintain compliance with all hospital policies and healthcare regulations
