Social Media Specialist - Future Bars Group
Full-time, 6‑month contract. The largest bar group in San Francisco is seeking a Social Media Specialist to share our craft cocktail story across social media. The role combines on‑site visits to our venues with content creation, editing, publishing, and event support. The position is full‑time (Tuesday‑Saturday), starting at 30 hours per week, including evening and weekend shifts occasionally. The Social Media Specialist will report directly to the CEO.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute a cohesive social media strategy for up to 14 venues
- Capture high‑quality photos and short‑form videos that showcase venue atmosphere, cocktails, and guest experiences
- Create and optimize posting schedule, hashtags, and trending sounds to maximize organic reach
- Produce engaging content for Instagram and Facebook, ensuring a polished, professional look
- Publish 2+ posts per week for each venue with consistent tone and visual quality
- Engage with the community by responding to comments and encouraging visits and bookings
- Track performance metrics and audience insights to refine content and strategy
- Collaborate with the management team to brainstorm and coordinate fresh content ideas
- Monitor social media trends and recommend new approaches to boost engagement
- Coordinate events together with the Bar Managers
Requirements
1+ year of experience as a Social Media Specialist, Content Creator, or similar role (hospitality, nightlife, or entertainment experience is a plus)Highly organized and detail‑oriented, able to execute multiple projects simultaneouslyDeep familiarity with Instagram and Facebook features, algorithms, and engagement tacticsPassion for social media trends, consumer behavior, and cultural insightsComfortable with camera and filming contentBenefits
