Responsibilities
Perform work as outlined on repair order with efficiency and accuracy.
Diagnose cause of any malfunction and perform repair.
Communicate with Parts Department to obtain needed parts.
Examine vehicle to determine if additional safety or service work is required.
Prepare an accurate estimate of work required.
Advise service advisor of diagnosis, if additional work is needed or if work outlined is not needed.
Document work performed and / or needed on repair order as per dealer and manufacturer requirements.
Attend training classes and meetings as required.
Familiarize himself / herself with all technical service bulletins and recalls.
Follow all safety rules and use proper safety equipment.
Maintain cooperative relationship with customers, service advisors, and all other employees.
Qualifications
High School Diploma or the equivalent.
Minimum 2 years experience.
Personal tools.
Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record
Good attitude and willingness to work.
General mechanical skills.
