Shift : Monday-Friday, 8am-4pm (52 week year round position)

Every day as a Job Coach you will :

Directly supervise, train, and coach students within community-based employment training sites.

Work with students to achieve a level of accomplishment and productivity that allows for greater employment independence.

Act as a liaison between the employer / community based employment site and Devereux.

Work with a team to assess skills and level of functioning / participation

Document progress and involvement of students

Provide information and input based on level of participation, functioning and progress to goals

You will be Offered :

Pay-rate : $18.50-$21.09 / hr (based upon education and experience)

Devereux Center for Autism Research and Education Services (CARES) is an educational program licensed by the Pennsylvania Department of Education that provides services to students, ages 5 to 21, diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder and other developmental disabilities. CARES provides an environment that focuses on teaching each student based on his or her unique strengths and needs. Programming is focused on increasing independence for each student.

Qualifications

EDUCATION : Bachelors degree in education, psychology, social work, or related field preferred. High school diploma required.

EXPERIENCE : Two years experience working with adolescents and young adults with intellectual and / or developmental disabilities and / or behavior disorders in a transition and employment setting preferred.
