What You’ll Do
Ensure world-class service to all lodging guests.Take and process guest reservations and inquiries via phone, online booking engine, email, and walk-ins.Handle guest arrival and departure procedures.Show Inn rooms, amenities, and enthusiastically describe lodging experience to potential lodging guests.Understand room status and room status tracking.Coordinate room status updates with housekeeping room attendants by communicating all checkouts, arrivals, and special needs and requests.Be knowledgeable of and able to answer questions about The Inn’s guest rooms, Village layout, shops, and attractions. Also have a general knowledge of local directions and tourist attractions.Take initiative and be willing to fill in other positions (i.e., stewardship, on-call) if necessary.Be proficient at using all front office equipment.Use professional and grammatically correct verbal and written communication skills.Accurately handle all money transactions such as guest deposits, payments, nightly reconciliation.Alert Lodging Manager, Owner, or maintenance department of all unusual guest concerns or occurrences, safety concerns, and maintenance issues.Maintain the cleanliness and neatness of lobby, front desk area, and front porch.Build relationships with guests and fellow employees.Be willing to handle guest relations situations in the absence of the Lodging Manager or Owner.Must be willing to work up to one full-day and two partial days and at least one Saturday a month.Must be willing to be on-call after hours one weeknight per week and one weekend per month (including Sunday).Perform other duties as assigned by Lodging Manager or Owner.What You Bring
Hospitality, customer service, receptionist, and administrative experience preferredProficient in Microsoft Office : Excel, Outlook, WordStrong attention to detailEmployee must expect to work Fridays, Saturday, and holidays. Hours may decrease during the winter season and increase during peak season as staffing and business needs demand. Team member will be required to participate in after-hours on-call schedule.
This is a part-time position, 0-25 hours per week.
