Job description

WHILE THIS ROLE IS REMOTE, THE CANDIDATE WILL NEED TO LIVE IN the Austin / San Antonio area

The Technical Sales Representative (TSR) reports to the District Manager and coordinates sales activities within the territory, creating added value for the customer with a clear focus on increasing market share, profitability and customer satisfaction.

Essential Functions :

Lead the development and implementation of the account plans and growth actions

Define sales targets for the account, and ensuring they are achieved with a structured follow-up process across utilizing a Customer Relationship Management tool (CRM)

Provide solutions for their businesses that are in line with volume, mix and profitability targets

Monitor competitor activity and ensuring appropriate action is taken

Build long-term relationships with customers ensuring that service needs are fulfilled

Network through active participation in industry association events and committee assignments

Actively work with other departments including manufacturing and logistics to ensure customer service needs are met

Identifies bottlenecks in service delivery and works within the Company to resolve issues

Coordinates sales activities with team members in business development and application specialists

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS :

Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration or Relevant Field

Knowledge and experience using MS Office tools and CRM's

5+ years of experience in a Sales or operational role in construction and concrete

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS :

Recent bachelor's degree in Concrete Industry Management (CIM), Construction Science Management / Construction Management

Master's Degree in Business Administration or Relevant Field

TRAITS OF THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE :

Excellent communication, negotiation, presentation, and influencing skills

Technical aptitude for construction products and their application with significant experience in concrete production or construction

Ability to understand customers' business needs and propose appropriate solutions

Time management with balance of prospecting, selling, and account management

Collecting and analyzing data concerning customer behavior to understand changing needs in the market

Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

Problem solving skills

A collaborative, solution-focused approach, with strong communication and customer relationship-building skills to maintain current business and acquire new customer requests

Certain locations require pay information be provided in job postings. Saint-Gobain aims to deliver a comprehensive Total Rewards package to support our employees' wellbeing and help improve daily life for themselves and their families. We believe in the importance of pay transparency in what we offer potential candidates. Provided is the national pay range for this position which is- $80,000 - to- $110,000 - per year. However, the base pay offered may vary depending on geographic region, internal equity, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors.

In addition to base salary, this position is eligible for an annual bonus and quarterly sales incentive payments. The targeted annual bonus amount is 5 % - of base salary based on company and individual performance measures. The Total Target Cash range (base pay and annual bonus) for this position, is- $84,000 - to- $115,500. - Bonus payments are part of variable compensation and by nature can vary based on company and individual performance and is not a guarantee.
