Senior Tax Accountant

LHH Recruitment Solutions has partnered with a reputable small-mid sized public accounting firm in the Louisville, KY area to identify a Senior Tax Accountant to join their team.

With this opportunity you will be joining a team-oriented environment with a partner track opportunity available for dedicated and proven staff.

Ideal candidates will offer prior public accounting experience.

Responsibilities :

Compiles supporting required documentation and performs various procedures established under generally accepted accounting principles to verify accuracy and validity of client’s financial accounts.

Prepare financial statements and as needed relevant footnotes.

Meets time and client deadlines.

Prepares or performs technical review of business and individual tax returns at various levels of complexity.

Suggests client tax planning ideas and opportunities to increase level and types of services.

Performs diversified accounting, auditing, and tax assignments .

Comply with all federal, state, and local protocols including legal requirements, and interpret new and existing legislation.

Guide junior accountants and other staff by answering questions, reviewing their work, and creating a mentorship environment.

Prepares end-of-engagement evaluations for staff.

Prepares other reports, projects, and duties as may be assigned.

Qualifications :

Bachelor’s degree or master’s degree in accounting or closely related program.

At least four years’ experience in public accounting.

Proven record of simultaneously managing multiple projects and engagement teams for various clients.

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Proficiency in use of computers and computer accounting and tax software programs.
