• Position Summary We are seeking a skilled and motivated Welding Lead to join our 1st shift team.
• This role is responsible for reading blueprints, taking precise measurements, planning layouts, and overseeing welding procedures.
• The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills and hands-on welding experience, ensuring that all work meets quality and safety standards.
• Key Responsibilities Review blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine job requirements and workflow.
• Select and set up appropriate welding equipment and materials based on project needs.
• Assign daily tasks to department employees and ensure timely completion.
• Train team members on proper welding techniques, safety practices, and quality standards.
• Verify that all products meet customer specifications.
• Monitor production data to ensure accurate reporting of run rates and quantities in the ERP system.
• Manage department supplies and materials, ensuring adequate inventory levels.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
• Foster teamwork, respect, and a positive work culture through strong leadership and example.
• Promote continuous improvement in safety, quality, and efficiency.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
