Senior Accountant

PrideStaff Financial has partnered with our University Park, Dallas, Texas client who is aiming to identify a Senior Accountant to join their growing team.

Located 100% onsite in University Park, right off the Dallas North Tollway.
What You'll Do :
Steward Finances with Integrity : Process payroll (bi-weekly) for staff and clergy, manage tax payments and reporting (including 941s, W-2s, and 403(b) submissions).
Ensure Accurate Revenue Recording : Train and support staff in recording contributions, pledges, and accounts receivable.
Review and post revenue entries for multiple church entities. Act as the primary contact for merchant accounts and troubleshoot any discrepancies.
Maintain Flawless Records : Maintain and reconcile operating and restricted accounts in the general ledger, process account transfers, and assist with month-end closing procedures.
Provide financial information to ministry leaders and clergy upon request.
Champion Internal Controls : Collaborate with the finance team to implement and maintain strong internal controls. Document finance department processes for contribution processing and reporting.
Minimum Qualifications :
Bachelor's degree in accounting or equivalent experience.
Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Excel & Word) and comfortable with internet / email.
Eagerness to learn and adapt to the church's specific database system and software programs.
Completion of SafeChurch training modules (prior to employment).
Bonus Points for :
Experience with general ledger accounting and payroll processing.
Familiarity with donor database / CRM systems.
A keen eye for detail and exceptional organizational skills.
Discretion and sensitivity in handling confidential information.
