Job Description

Targeted Annual Pay Range : Minimum of $90,000.00 to a maximum of $110,000.00

POSITION PURPOSE : Project Engineer - Commissioning of equipment and systems with Electrical focus. Must be a self-motivated, energetic professional, with experience and an understanding of building MEP systems design, construction, and commissioning of critical systems ranging in size, rating and complexity. The ideal candidate shall possess theoretical and practical knowledge in the commissioning, testing and troubleshooting of electrical systems and related controls. Candidate will be responsible for reviewing project information, executing daily field activities, maintaining project documentation, assisting the Project Manager, and providing guidance to junior engineers. This role requires technical competency and organizational skills, and is expected to work well in a team environment.

PRIMARY DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES

• Commission electrical distribution equipment and related controls, primarily in data center environments, including HV and MV primary distribution.
• Review system designs for compliance with client facility goals
• Prepare plans and procedures for execution of the commissioning process.
• Conduct commissioning activities from the Design Phase into the Occupation Phase, in accordance with client requirements.
• Attend factory inspection and testing of equipment and document findings and recommendations.
• Perform inspections of electrical equipment and contractor installation for compliance to specifications and industry best practices.
• Conduct physical testing of electrical equipment and measure results using test instrumentation
• Fully document all field procedures, including results, issues, and observations using online applications.
• Report on electrical system performance and make technical recommendations on issues
• Work with project teams to coordinate and execute field activities.
• Review and comment on project documentation, plans, and schedules.
• Submit and maintain daily commissioning reports as required.
• Assist in the training of junior engineers.
• Respond to customer inquiries in a manner that exceeds the customer's expectations
• Ensure compliance with company, client, and project safety requirements.
• Knowledgeable with common mechanical, and controls-related building equipment, including :

Engine generators.
