Job Description
- The System Integration Specialist is responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining integrations between JIRA, GitLab, and other enterprise ITSM and DevOps tools. This includes developing API-based solutions to enable data synchronization, automate workflows, and enhance cross-platform visibility.
- The role involves implementing secure authentication and identity federation mechanisms, including OAuth and SAML, to ensure compliance with enterprise security requirements. Personnel will develop scripts and automation to streamline data exchange, reduce manual processes, and improve system reliability and performance.
- Additional responsibilities include troubleshooting integration issues, supporting system interoperability across environments, and collaborating with development, operations, and security teams to ensure integrations meet functional and security requirements. Strong scripting, automation, and analytical skills are essential to support scalable and maintainable integration solutions.
Required Qualifications and Experience
The contractor shall provide personnel who meet one of the following requirements:
- Bachelors degree in Systems Engineering, Information Technology, or a related discipline; or
- A minimum of five (5) years of equivalent professional experience in system integration or platform interoperability.
Candidates must have demonstrated experience in the following areas:
- Integrating ITSM, DevOps, or enterprise platforms using API-based solutions.
- Designing and implementing system interoperability and data synchronization.
- Developing scripts and automation to support workflow integration.
- Implementing secure authentication and identity federation solutions.
- Supporting enterprise-scale integration environments.
Required Skills and Competencies
- Proficiency in API development and system integration methodologies.
- Experience with OAuth, SAML, and enterprise authentication protocols.
- Strong scripting and automation skills.
- Knowledge of ITSM and DevOps toolchains.
- Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and documentation skills.
Education
- Bachelors degree in a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
- ITIL Foundation Certification (Preferred, Not Required).
- Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect (Preferred, Not Required).
Clearance Requirement
- An active TS/SCI security clearance is required
