Bilingual Certified Medical Assistant
The Bilingual Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) is responsible for assisting Physicians, Nurses and other medical staff with providing patient care by following policies, procedures, professional guidelines and provides clinical and clerical support such as assistance with medical procedures, cleaning of equipment, filing, retrieval of information and performance of screening examinations.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities :
- Take patient medical history
- Explain treatments or procedures to patients
- Cleans and sterilizes designated equipment after use.
- Prepare patients and assists Physicians with procedures
- Assists patient with obtaining food, toileting, post-op movement and maintaining comfort.
- Instruct patients about medication and special diets
- Prepare and administer medications as directed by a Physician or Licensed Provider
- Ensures exam rooms and treatment areas are cleaned after each patient leaves and prepared for the next patient. Assists with light housekeeping duties which include spills.
- Stocks exam room / treatment rooms with medical supplies, linen, and designated chart forms.
- Ensures chart is maintained with relevant lab work and test results
- Assists in escorting patients and specimens throughout the facility.
- Obtains vital signs, weights, and EKGs when needed, and all other tests within the scope of the practice.
- Assist with blood collection / phlebotomy as needed.
- Other duties as may be assigned.
What We're Looking For
High School Diploma or equivalentMust possess certification as a Medical Assistant in the State of New Jersey2 years experience a Medical Assistant, preferably in OBGYNBLS certification, preferredMust demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills.What We Offer
