Drafter

Required Skills and Experience :

• 2 Years of experience OR an associate degree
• Auto Cad, 2D design, 3D designs for foundations / structures (does not have to be ship related-can be home structures)
• Proficient with using AutoCAD

Nice to Have Skills and Experience :

• Experience using Navis, MS Excel, Bluebeam / Power PDF, Ship Constructor
• Ship building or marine background

Job Description :

This person will be supporting a large shipbuilding contract. Day-to-Day will include sitting in on the detail design team that is responsible for updating models and issuing changes.

This role includes taking a 3D model and extracting it to 2D that is then sent to manufacturing and assisting with drawing revisions and updates in AutoCAD and Ship Constructor.

These models will be structural pieces of the ship (ceiling, stiffener plates).

Contract / Contract-to-Hire Roles :

Compensation :

$20 / hr to $25 / hr.

Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.
