Job Title : Medical Director - Neonatology

Join a dedicated team of healthcare professionals at a regional perinatal center located in the picturesque city of Roanoke, Virginia. This facility, which includes a 60-bed regional perinatal center and a 6-bed Level 2 NICU, offers the opportunity to practice advanced neonatology while enjoying a vibrant small-town lifestyle nestled in the scenic Blue Ridge Mountains. Job Responsibilities :

• Provide expert neonatal care at the Carilion Clinic Children s Hospital and Lewis Gale Medical Center.
• Manage and lead NICU operations as Medical Director or participate as Associate Medical Director, ensuring high-quality clinical care and operational excellence.
• Oversee advanced NICU services including high-frequency ventilation, whole body cooling, and nitric oxide therapy.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary pediatric and maternal-fetal medicine subspecialists, pediatric surgeons, and neonatology team members.
• Support medical education by working with Virginia Tech School of Medicine students and residents.
• Engage in quality improvement initiatives and participate in research projects within the Virginia Neonatal Perinatal Collaborative.
• Provide clinical coverage including day shifts, on-call, and weekend duties as needed.
• Maintain compliance with hospital policies and participate in leadership meetings and committees.
• This is a permanent, full-time position that requires residency within the immediate local area. Relocation may be required.
