Fusion Medical Staffing is seeking a skilled Endoscopic Technician for a 13-week travel assignment in Pocatello, Idaho. Required Qualifications :
One year of recent experience as an Endo TechCurrent BLS Certification (AHA / ARC)Preferred Qualifications :
GI Technical Specialist (SGNA)Other certifications and licenses may be required for this positionSummary :
Endoscopic technicians (Endo Techs) are integral members of the healthcare team that uses endoscopes to diagnose and treat gastrointestinal problems. Endo Techs assist in ensuring patient safety, maintain a sterile environment, and comply with hospital safety and infection control protocols.
Essential Work Functions :
Prepare and turnover procedure rooms, ensuring equipment and instruments are ready for proceduresStock and organize necessary supplies and equipment to support procedural efficiencySterilize and maintain endoscopes and related equipment in compliance with infection control standardsEnsure the maintenance of a sterile field during all stages of the procedure to safeguard patient safetyAssist with positioning of patient before and during procedures to support accuracy and comfortAssist in the transport patients to and from procedure and other departments when requiredHandle specimens with precision and care to maintain diagnostic integrity and follow institutional protocolsCollaborate with the endoscopy team to ensure seamless workflow and optimal patient careAdhere to hospital safety protocols, infection control guidelines, and regulatory standardsPerform other duties as assigned within the scope of practiceRequired Essential Skills :
Critical thinking, service excellence, and good interpersonal communication skillsThe ability to read, write, and communicate in the English languageAbility to read / comprehend written instructions, follow verbal instructions, and proficiency in PC skillsPhysical Abilities - Must be able to remain in a stationary position, move about, move equipment (50-100lbs), push, pull, and bendInterpersonal Skills - Must be able to work effectively with a variety of personnel (professional and ancillary) to present a positive attitude and professionalismTechnical / Motor Skills - Must have the ability to grasp, perform fine manipulation, push / pull, and move about when assisting with procedures and / or using department equipmentMental Requirements - Must be able to cope with frequent contact with the general public and customers while meeting deadlines under pressure. Must be able to work under close supervision occasionally, as well as working without assistance from other personnel.
