Job Description :
- We are currently looking for an ambitious Clinical Educator, contractor, to join our Endovascular Robotics business within Advanced Therapies.
- We are a global technology leader in robotic-assisted vascular interventions. We believe the combination of endovascular robotics, image guidance and dedicated devices will change the way neurovascular procedures will be done in the future, enabling better outcomes, and enabling our customers to provide better access to care.
- As a Clinical Educator, you will be responsible for training healthcare professionals on the proper use and best practices of a new medical device. .
Medical device training
Develop, conduct, and track / document training sessions (didactic and hands-on as needed) to healthcare professionals of a new medical device.Provide expertise to answer clinical questions and address concerns related to the device s use.Drives overall education and training activities for Physicians and Hospital Staff (technicians / nurses / etc.) of a new medical device.Provide on-site, device training and procedural technical support to assist the Clinical Affairs Research Team during clinical trials.Technical support may include all aspects of the device, handling, troubleshooting techniques.Document procedural / device case observations for marketing insightsContinuous improvements :
Develop and continuously improve training curriculum, training materials and training tools, based on clinical experience and feedback from healthcare professionalsCollaborate with Product teams to provide feedback on device iterations and new device developmentTechnical and Clinical Expert
Translates complex technical messaging, dispels competitive claims, resolves complex technical issues, and maintains customer relationships through technical expertiseTimely, collaboration with Clinical Affairs Research team relative to device training, case support observations that may impact the outcome of clinical studies (i.e., device malfunction(s) during a procedure).Collaborates with Usability team to ensure training requirements meet risk profileRequired skills to have for the success of this role :
Bachelor s degree, a registered nurse or a radiology technician a plus,with a minimum of 8 years of experience in education / sales / service / engineering / rad tech / OR technician / etc. with neurointerventional device salesexperience a plus ORAdvanced Degree, with a minimum of 5 years of experience in education / sales / service / engineering, experience a plusDemonstrated experience in device training during clinical trials in the US and OUS.Experience in training clinicians, technicians, clinical field specialists, or sales professionalsStrong work ethic in accomplishing objectives of the positionAbility to meet vendor credentialing requirementsExcellent customer service and / or education skillsProven ability to build / maintain positive relationships with peers and colleagues across organization levelsExcellent interpersonal, written / verbal communication skills; specifically, the ability to create educational contentPreferred skills to have for the success of this role :
Degree in biomedical engineering, nursing, radiology technologist, or similarNeurointerventional device sales experience a plusRobotic experience a plusExperience in interventional neurology, neurological surgery, hemodynamic monitoring technologyKnowledge and understanding of neurovascular scienceThorough working knowledge of neuro medical terminology and the medical device industryAbility to coordinate / participate in numerous tasks / projects in a fast paced environment in an organized manner while meeting deadlinesModerate understanding of medical device regulatory requirements and documents, device accountability and adverse events reportingThe successful candidate will preferably have experience in marketing new technologies and therapies; preferably systems that involve capital and disposable surgical / interventional equipmentAdditional Requirements
