Role Summary

We are looking for an Electromagnetic Compatibility Engineer who seeks to enter the rapidly growing EV marketplace. Our team focusses on providing EMC technical expertise into the Design and Verification of the PCBAs & ECUs (Electronic Control Units) for current and next gen vehicle platforms (Autonomy, Infotainment, Vehicle Controls, Power Conversion, Propulsion, Dynamics etc.) . You will be assessing the electromagnetic interactions between all circuits integrated into our vehicles and providing integration guidance and design validation.

Responsibilities

• Work with hardware designers to develop the next generation of control electronics for Rivian vehicles.
• Develop and validate electromagnetic models to predict circuit behavior when integrated into vehicles deployed in real-world environments.
• Test ECU and vehicle design margins in our EMC laboratories.
• Develop systems engineering models for sub-system EMI Source / Victim interactions in vehicles. Feed into electrical and mechanical integration and wiring harness design.

Salary Range Irvine-Based Applicants : $154,000-$192,500 (actual compensation will be determined based on experience, and other factors permitted by law
