Pediatric Emergency Medicine opening in Dayton, OH (Locum Tenens)CALL ONLYDates : Starting August 2025 OngoingRate : Negotiable (tell us your rate)Schedule Negotiable (tell us your preferred schedule) Job Details : Weekend coverage needed at both Main and South Campus locations 59 total ED beds with annual ER volume of 101,692 Level I Pediatric Trauma Center 81% of hospital admissions originate from the ED 12% of ED patients admitted; 0.002% transferred Fast Track available (staffed by both MDs and APPs), handling 40% of ED volume ED staffed by 23 physicians, supported by APPs and residents EPIC EMR system ED physicians / residents write admission orders; admission residents handle ongoing care orders 60-minute response time for on-call physicians per hospital bylaws Locum physician will supervise APPs and residents DCH provides full 24 / 7 access to radiology, lab, blood bank (AABB certified), OR, anesthesia, and a full panel of consultants including critical care, cardiology, neurology, psychiatry, and more Referral / transport coordination managed through internal communication center; transport team covers 27 counties Local EMS and Miami Valley Hospital used for trauma-level transport (air ambulance via external provider) Requirements : Board Certified or Board Eligible in Pediatric Emergency Medicine (within 5 years of residency) BLS, PALS, and ATLS required Willing to obtain OH licensure Minimum credentialing timeframe : 60 days Must be available for weekend coverage Location : Dayton, OH Located approximately 54 miles north of Cincinnati and 75 miles west of Columbus.
