Job Summary:

Step into the role of a Core Banking Architect at Synovus and become a driving force behind the development and adoption of cutting-edge, cloud-based core banking technologies.

The core banking Architect is instrumental in crafting, developing, integrating and deploying sophisticated core banking solutions across diverse platforms and applications. This role serves as the function's go-to subject matter expert by leveraging advanced architecture capabilities and collaborate with business, product and other stakeholders to drive best-in-class outcomes ensuring that core banking systems adhere to both functional and technical specifications, including security and compliance standards.

We are looking for changemakers with strong ability to engage in open discussions, identify technology needs, recommend the right technology choices and communicate/deliver solutions.

• Each team member is expected to be aware of risk within their functional area. This includes observing all policies, procedures, laws, regulations and risk limits specific to their role. Minimum Education:

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or other related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Minimum Experience:

• 12 years of IT work experience in multiple IT areas in a multi-tier environment working as a SME to link technology with business values whilst guiding stakeholders through the right technology choices suitable to their core short- and long-term needs.

Additional Information

Preferred Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:

• Must have 5+ years’ experience with Core banking platforms such as FIS Core Banking, Fiserv Core banking, Jack Henry Core, Temenos, Finxact, Thought Machine, Nymbus or similar platforms.
• Strong experience with core banking functionalities including account management, transaction processing, real time vs batch, deposits, lending and customer relationship management.
• In-depth knowledge of core banking systems, architecture/design principles, and industry best practices.
• Experience with integration of the digital banking, payment hubs, fraud and risk systems, sanctions screening, and money movement rails with core banking systems.
• Experience with Microservice based architecture, designing enterprise services or integration capabilities using REST APIs and event-driven technology as well as leveraging native Cloud services (Azure & AWS).
• Experience in System Integration Concepts, Data Modeling, DevOps, Domain Driven Design, DevSecOps, Architecture Frameworks (TOGAF or Zachman), and Agile.
• Experience with Risk, Regulatory, and Compliance associated with core banking, transaction processing and security across layers (OAuth2/3, encryption, SSL).
