Northrop Grumman Defense Systems sector (NGDS) is seeking a Sr. Principal Program Cost, Schedule, and Control Analyst to join our team of diverse professionals. The preferred location for this role is in Northridge, CA.
Responsibilities :
- Sets up cost control system, monitors and controls costs and schedules on contracts requiring validated cost schedule control system
- Performs analyses and prepares reports in order to ensure that contracts are within negotiated and agreed-upon parameters and government cost control guidelines
- Prepares budgets and schedules for contract work and performs and / or assists in financial analyses such as funding profiles, sales outlook, and variance analysis
- Prepares program plans to ensure program requirements and statement of work are captured and scheduled
- Reviews schedule risk assessments to identify and mitigate program cost and scheduling risks
- Ensures adequate funding availability by maintaining accurate records of expenditures, preparation of expenditure projections, and submitting timely requests for additional funding to the government
- Incorporates contractual changes into control systems by staying aware of outstanding work against each contract in order to maintain realistic contract cost and schedule baselines
- Preparation and presentation of financial and earned value data to internal and external customers, including variance analysis and forecasts
- Preparation and presentation of Estimate at Complete packages
- Solicite, analyze and proactively challenge baseline and schedule inputs / updates as well as recommending workarounds to CAMs
Job Qualifications :
Basic Qualifications for Sr. Principal Program Cost, Schedule, and Control Analyst (Level 4) :
High school diploma or GED with a minimum of 12 years of program cost, schedule, and control experienceBachelor's degree in a business, finance, or related discipline with a minimum of 8 years of program cost, schedule, and control experienceMaster's degree in a business, finance, or related discipline with a minimum of 6 years of program cost, schedule, and control experienceExperience in financial planning and reporting tools such as SAP and MPM or CobraMust be able to travel as needed (up to 10% of the time)Preferred Qualifications :
Must have a minimum of 2 years of Earned Value Management (EVM) experienceExperience successfully managing and producing data with strict deadlinesExperience collaborating with technical functions on a project / programExperience with Precision or CognosExperience with SAP / BW reporting such as Analysis OfficeIntermediate to advance knowledge of MS Excel (pivot tables, vlookup, sumif, conditional formatting, etc.)Defense Industry experienceAbility to obtain and maintain a U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) SecretStrong analytical abilityThe ability to identify issues and make recommendations to management for resolution or mitigationStrong PC skills and proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, including MS Excel
