Registered Nurse Job Details

Location : Tuscaloosa, AL 35401

Healthcare Setting : Heart Failure / Stroke Unit (Med / Surg Telemetry)

Assignment Type : Travel RN, On-Site

Start Date : December 22, 2025

End Date : March 22, 2026

Contract Duration : 13 weeks

Nursing Shift : 12-hour nights (7 : 00pm-7 : 00am), holidays as required, every other weekend

Hours per Week : 36 (option for 48 hours per week)

Guaranteed Hours : 36

Estimated Weekly Salary Range : $1720 - $1840

Parking : On-site available

Dress Code : Solid Navy Scrubs

RN Qualifications

Associate's degree in Nursing (required)

Active Alabama Registered Nurse license or Compact State RN license (no temporary licenses)

BLS certification from AHA or Red Cross (required)

Minimum 2 years of clinical nursing experience (will consider 18 months with at least 1 year in Med / Surg Telemetry specialty)

Experience with Meditech EMR preferred

Willingness to float to other units and hospitals as needed

RN Responsibilities

Provide high-quality, compassionate nursing care to patients with neurological and cardiac diagnoses, including congestive heart failure and acute stroke

Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams—nurses, cardiologists, and neurologists—to ensure best practice standards

Manage a 1 : 6 nurse-to-patient ratio in a fast-paced, specialized clinical unit

Accurately document patient care and interventions using Meditech EMR

Float to other units or hospitals within the healthcare system as required

Work every other weekend and holidays as scheduled
