Attorney I - Compliance

The Paycom Attorney is an active contributor to the legal team. Attorney's work closely with senior and advising attorneys to advise Paycom business regarding laws and regulations.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Draft, analyze, advise on, and negotiate a wide range of technology and media agreements, to include :
  • Master subscription / service agreements (MSAs)
  • SaaS agreements, service level agreements (SLAs)
  • Statements of work (SOWs)
  • Data privacy / protection agreements (DPAs), and related agreements
  • Provides guidance and support on organizational legal issues
  • Explains facts, policies, and practices related to assigned business segment
  • Researches and analyzes standard laws and regulations
  • Identifies, defines and addresses standard, readily identifiable problems typically within immediate job area
  • Applies knowledge from prior experiences to formulate defense or initiate legal actions
  • Collaborate with senior Legal team members
  • Advises business on best practices to reduce liability
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Education / Certification :

Juris Doctorate or equivalent from an accredited law school

Experience :

Admission to Oklahoma Bar in good standing

Skills / Abilities :

  • Transaction experience is a plus
  • Experience responding to compliance, commercial, data protection, and intellectual property needs, preferably in a SaaS environment
  • Ability to perform legal research and detailed analysis
  • Ability to communicate professionally with all levels of employees including senior leadership
  • Highly developed executive presence and confidence in public speaking
  • Ability to adapt and thrive in a fast-paced, changing environment
  • A strong work ethic, be willing to work flexible hours including nights / weekends and travel to events as needed
