Job Title : Army Aviation Special Staff Officer (SSO)

Location : DC Metro Area

This is an Onsite Position :

Opportunity Overview : CORTEK seeks a highly qualified Army Aviation Special Staff Officer (SSO) to support Army Aviation programs within the Force Development Division (FDV). This Key Personnel role requires operational experience in aviation units and the ability to manage Army Acquisition Category (ACAT) II and III programs. The ideal candidate will bring deep knowledge of aviation equipment and Army acquisition processes.

Duties / Responsibilities :

  • Support Army Aviation programs and modernization efforts
  • Apply operational experience from the company to brigade-level aviation units
  • Manage and advise on ACAT II and III program execution
  • Coordinate with Army stakeholders to support aviation capability development

Required Qualifications :

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Business or Engineering
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in Force Development or related duties
  • Experience at senior Army levels such as HQDA, MACOMs, or Army Service Component Commands
  • Foundational operational experience in Army aviation units
  • Preferred Skills & Expertise

  • Knowledge of :
  • Planning, Programming, Budgeting, and Execution (PPBE)

  • DoD acquisition processes (DoDI 5000.2)
  • JCIDS and Army force structure requirements
  • Experience applying force development across DOTMLPF-P domains
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Highly Preferred Qualifications, Certifications, and Training :

  • How the Army Runs (HTAR) Course
  • RQM 1010 / CLR 101 : Introduction to JCIDS
  • RQM 1100 / RQM 110 : Core Concepts for Requirements Management / CDC
  • RQM 3100 / RQM 310 : Advanced Concepts and Skills
  • CLR 151 : Analysis of Alternatives
  • RQM 2500 / CLR 250 : Capabilities-Based Assessments
  • RQM 2520 / CLR 252 : Developing Performance Attributes
