HX5 is seeking a qualified Network Services Engineer in support of the Advanced Training Capabilities Division (AFLCMC / WNR) at Hill AFB in Ogden, Utah. The WNR function provides the Air Force's technical, acquisition, and sustainment support to the warfighter. The ADE Division covers systems including Electronic Warfare, Range Systems, Range Instrumentation, Air Combat Training and Aircrew Readiness, C2 Systems, Advanced Radar Threat Systems, Combat Survivor Evader Locator, P5 Combat Training Systems, Black Switch, and Legacy Voice Systems, with support to depot-level sustainment and maintenance efforts, FMS, U.S. Army, Navy, PACAF, ACC, AFMC, and AETC on a continuous basis.
The Network Services Engineer applies broad theoretical and practical knowledge of system network engineering across the full spectrum acquisition process, with a focus on mission applications. The contractor supports development, acquisition, and accreditation efforts, collects network topology information, device configurations, and cabling / infrastructure information; identifies technical requirements gaps; assists project managers with acquisition documents; evaluates network designs for compliance with project and cyber security requirements; performs on-site cyber security verifications; advises program managers on future technologies; identifies obsolescence issues and helps design / engineer network baselines to meet current and future IA / cyber security requirements for wired and wireless technologies, networking performance, and system capabilities.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities :
Analyze, recommend, and sustain network architecture and infrastructure.
Monitor, test, and resolve network issues for optimal functionality.
Ensure cybersecurity protocols, encryption technologies, and boundary designs.
Manage network upgrades, sustainment, and operational maintenance.
Configure and troubleshoot advanced networking protocols, technologies, and performance metrics.
Create detailed network diagrams and document procedures.
Test and analyze network pathways for performance and recovery.
Support Agile execution, DISA engineering, and service-oriented architecture development.
Identify gaps, recommend upgrades, and troubleshoot issues systematically.
Manage service agreements and acquisitions of circuits and technologies.
