Job descriptionProvide real-time Serbian English telephonic interpretation for USCIS interviews, hearings, and official proceedings. Interpret with accuracy, impartiality, and professionalism in immigration, legal, and administrative contexts. Adhere to USCIS / DHS compliance and confidentiality standards. Handle both scheduled assignments and urgent / surge interpretation requests. Participate in training, compliance refreshers, and QA audits. Native or near-native fluency in Serbian and English. 2+ years of professional interpreting experience (immigration, legal, medical, or government preferred). Familiarity with interpreter ethics, confidentiality, and cultural awareness. Excellent telephone communication skills; ability to remain accurate under pressure. Must be a U.S. Citizen or permanent resident eligible for Tier 3 / Tier 5 security clearance. Competitive pay : $2530 / hour (rare-language premium available). Remote work with secure USCIS-approved platforms. Paid training and continuing professional development. Steady workload under a federal contract. Career advancement opportunities in quality assurance or project management. Resume / CV highlighting Serbian interpreting experience. Certifications (court, medical, ATA, or equivalent credentials preferred). Availability for full-time or contractor assignments.
