z OS Mainframe Systems Programmer

A company is looking for a z / OS Mainframe Systems Programmer to support a federal program on a fully remote schedule.

Key Responsibilities :

Provide daily systems programming support for IBM z / OS versions 2.5 and 3.1 and associated software products

Install, configure, and upgrade key IBM z / OS components and manage storage systems

Plan and execute Disaster Recovery exercises and monitor system performance

Required Qualifications :

Deep expertise in Sysplex, Coupling Facility, JES2, SMP / E, and TCP / IP

Hands-on experience with IBM mainframe hardware spanning z13 through z17 platforms

Strong programming skills in COBOL, Assembler, and REXX

Experience with IBM z Workload Scheduler and Vanguard Security Solutions

Familiarity with hybrid IT environments and modern DevOps practices
