Community Finance Team Community Finance’s commitment to impact is clear. In 2023, the team originated $2.3 billion in debt and Low Income Housing Tax Credit (LIHTC) equity investments that financed more than 14,000 affordable housing units. Since its inception, Capital One has invested almost $17 billion in affordable housing and provided financing for more than 160,000 affordable housing units. Capital One’s Community Finance originates debt and equity to support affordable housing development. The team provides construction debt financing, as well as, invest in low income housing credits through proprietary and multifund equity fund structures. In addition the team partners with other lines of business to provide capital to Community Development Financial Institutions. The Role : Community Finance is seeking a strategically oriented and energetic Senior Manager BA with demonstrated experience driving innovation, impact and operational excellence to drive the expansion of Capital One’s Community Development Financial Institution (CDFI) activities. This role will report to the Senior Business Director accountable for delivering key insights that drive program strategy and management, analyzing our existing portfolio of loans, performing sensitivity analysis for various portfolio construct scenarios inclusive of lending facilities, equity / EQ2 investments, and deposits, while ensuring the financial stability and mission-driven goals are met. The role will serve as the front door between Community Finance, Small Business Bank and Commercial and other lines of business to manage coordination of all activities. This associate should have a demonstrated record of delivering solutions, excel at relationship management, and have keen business and communications acumen. Key Responsibilities : As a Senior Business Manager, you will be responsible for helping to build the strategy of our new function with responsibilities including, but not limited to : Support creation a holistic strategy to build and manage CDFI relationships, originate capital, service and monitor the portfolio and impact Analyze strategy across sectors, geographies, programmatic commitments in CBP Conduct investment ramp scenario analysis Own and refine investment framework for direct to CDFI commitments Develop KPIs and reporting mechanisms across governance forums and routines Drive creation of CDFI-specific credit policy Develop insights once we have seasoned investments to inform pricing strategy, duration considerations Outline CDFI program best practices - seek to define what the gold standard looks like with an eye toward program sustainability Basic Qualifications : Bachelor’s Degree in any quantitative field (Business, Math, Economics, Finance, Statistics, Science, Engineering) At least 2 years of experience in quantitative analysis At least 2 years of experience in qualitative analysis At least 1 year of experience in people management At least 1 year of experience in project management Preferred Qualifications : Master’s Degree in Business or quantitative field such as Finance, Economics, Physical Sciences, Math, Statistics, Engineering 5 years of experience in quantitative analysis 5 years of experience in qualitative analysis 2 years of experience in people management 2 years of experience in product development 2 years of experience in financial modeling 2 years of experience in economic forecasting 2 years of experience in project management Capital One will consider sponsoring a new qualified applicant for employment authorization for this position. Please note that this salary information is solely for candidates hired to perform work within one of these locations, and refers to the amount Capital One is willing to pay at the time of this posting. Salaries for part-time roles will be prorated based upon the agreed upon number of hours to be regularly worked. McLean, VA : $193,000 - $220,300 for Sr. Business Manager New York, NY : $210,500 - $240,300 for Sr. Business Manager Candidates hired to work in other locations will be subject to the pay range associated with that location, and the actual annualized salary amount offered to any candidate at the time of hire will be reflected solely in the candidate’s offer letter. This role is also eligible to earn performance based incentive compensation, which may include cash bonus(es) and / or long term incentives (LTI).
