About The Position

Job Title : Registered Nurse

Experience : Minimum of 1 year in specialty required.

License : Must have an active nursing license.

Certifications : BLS required, ACLS preferred.

Must-Have : Experience with patient ratios of 5-6.

Must have experience with charting systems.

Description :

This is a 42-bed unit.

Floating will be required.

The nurse will work every other weekend.

The nurse will work 50% of holidays.

Team nursing will be the approach used.

Nurse and tech teams will care for 7 patients.

The nurse will be responsible for assessments and medications.

Techs will handle lab draws, ambulation assistance, and hourly rounding.

A nurse navigator will assist with admissions and discharges.

A medication nurse will be available in the morning.

The day nurse-to-patient ratio is 1 : 5-6.

The night ratio is 1 : 6.

Candidates should have a minimum of 1 year of experience.

First-time travelers will be accepted.

The unit provides interdisciplinary support.

Patient age groups include adolescents, adults, and geriatrics.

The average daily census is 30 patients.

Special equipment includes continuous passive motion machines and ceiling lifts.

All travelers will be expected to float within the organization.

Modules will be completed during orientation and annually, varying by specialty.

All procedures are subject to unit policies.

Healthcare professionals are essential to provide quality care.

Remote monitoring and telemetry services are utilized on the unit.

Wound care management is part of the nursing responsibilities.

Patient demographics include postoperative orthopedic cases and trauma.

Nurses will work with a variety of medical and surgical patients.
