A Snapshot of Your Day
As a Project Manager in our Gas Turbines division, you will work in a dynamic fast-paced manufacturing environment on various technical projects. The day will start off attending a Gemba meeting to understand project status and obstacles for the day. Then can go from leading a customer visit to managing a shipment to a customer site.
How You’ll Make an Impact
- Simultaneously manage multiple projects within the Charlotte repair facility.
- Responsible for providing customer status updates, in both written and verbal formats.
- Create Extra Work Requests, present to customers and execute change orders once approved.
- Support customer visits for pre-project planning, status visits and witness points.
- Coordinate information and logistics between a variety of internal and external organizations.
- Manage performance metrics including facilitation of lessons learned at conclusion of each project.
- Collect data from the order managers and business partners for analysis to uncover areas for improvements and innovation.
- Develop, review, and monitor Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to meet stringent business targets.
- Liaise with our service partners, order managers, buyers, planners, and engineering to ensure on-time delivery of spare parts and repairs.
- Coordinate issue resolutions with Warehouse & Supply for on-time delivery of parts.
What You Bring
- Technical degree preferred in Manufacturing, Mechanical, Aerospace, or Industrial Engineering – equivalent experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
- 5+ years related work experience in Engineering, Manufacturing or Project Management.
- Strong work ethic and willingness to do what it takes to get the job done on time and with high quality.
- Expert written, verbal, mathematical, and interpersonal skills.
- MRP experience is preferred – SAP experience is emphasized.
- Ability to prepare accurate cost estimates and quotations, leveraging technical data and cross-functional input.
- Candidates with more experience can be considered for a higher level.
