Job Summary
We are seeking an Inventory Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will order, monitor, receive, merchandise and report on the company’s inventory.
Responsibilities
- Monitor inventory levels and identify shortages
- Place orders to ensure adequate levels of stock to meet customer demand
- Receive deliveries and confirm accuracy of product received
- Price sign and stock merchandise
- Return defective merchandise and ensure proper and timely credit is received from vendor
- Process customer returns for vendor credit
- Develop and maintain good working relationships with vendors
- Use existing data to forecast future demand
- Perform inventory counts
- Provide sales and informational assistance to staff and customers
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Ability to perform basic math calculations
- Basic understanding of inventory control procedures preferred
- Ability to develop / maintain relationships with outside vendors.
- Ability to accurately report on inventory
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Highly organized with attention to detail
- Proficient keyboarding skills
- Ability to work with minimum supervision
- Access to reliable transportation
- Must be able to lift 50lbs
