Picking And Packing Associate
Picking and Packing Associate is responsible for accurately selecting, preparing, and packing customer orders for shipment. This role ensures timely, efficient, and correct fulfillment of products while maintaining quality and safety standards within a fast-paced warehouse or distribution center environment.
Order Picking :
- Use pick sheets, scanners, or handheld devices to locate items in the warehouse.
- Accurately select items based on order details (SKU, quantity, size, color, etc.).
- Confirm product matches and ensure items are in good condition.
- Use manual or powered equipment (e.g., pallet jacks, carts) to retrieve items.
Packing :
Prepare shipping materials (boxes, bubble wrap, tape, etc.).Safely and efficiently pack items to prevent damage in transit.Weigh, label, and seal packages.Ensure orders are packed according to company and carrier specifications.Quality Control :
Double-check picked and packed items for accuracy and damage.Report any product shortages, damages, or discrepancies to the supervisor.Maintain cleanliness and organization of the packing station and work area.Inventory and Documentation :
Update inventory records using warehouse management systems (WMS).Assist with stock counts and cycle counts as needed.Ensure proper labeling and documentation of orders.
