Overview

Brazoria County Criminal District Attorney's Office has an opening for a misdemeanor prosecutor. Starting annual salary range, depending on qualifications & experience, is from $78,024.00 - $87,817.00.

Responsibilities

• Misdemeanor prosecutors are expected to evaluate facts in misdemeanor cases, make charging decisions, contact victims, work with law enforcement officers, make plea offers and try cases to juries.
• Misdemeanor prosecutors will share a caseload in an assigned misdemeanor court with another misdemeanor prosecutor.
• Misdemeanor prosecutors are also given the opportunity on occasion to try felony cases.
